The Macao branch of Bank of China (BOC Macao) has set up the Investment and Financing Services Platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, a website for matching businesses in China and the Portuguese-speaking world that are looking for financing or opportunities to invest, Exmoo News reports.
The local Chinese-language news website quotes BOC Macao E-Finance Department General Manager Yu Jian as speaking at a seminar for central bankers and financial institutions from China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, held in Macao on Friday.
Mr Jian said the website may enhance trade with companies in Portuguese-speaking countries and speed up their internationalisation, Exmoo News adds.
To begin with, the website will only give information, while the business matching will be done offline, but eventually the website will do the business matching online, Exmoo says.
