Brazil and Argentina will mount a joint advertising campaign to attract tourists from China, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese state-run news agency says the Brazilian Tourist Board announced the campaign after Brazilian and Argentinian tourism chiefs met in London, capping two years of negotiations.
“The Chinese market is very large and is growing,” the report quotes the head of the tourist board, Vinicius Lummertz, as saying. “We have the problem of distance, but the joint initiative makes everything easier, with lower costs and simplified logistics.”
The advertising campaign will be mounted in several Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, Xinhua says.
