Brazil, Argentina to co-operate in luring Chinese tourists

The authorities in Brazil and Argentina will work together to attract Chinese tourists, notably by making it easier for Chinese to enter both countries, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese state-run news agency quotes Argentinian Minster of Tourism Gustavo Santos was as saying the Argentinian and Brazilian authorities are working on making visas for Chinese tourists issued by one country valid for entry to both.

Mr Santos said he hoped such an arrangement would increase interest among Chinese in visiting Brazil and Argentina.

Representatives of Brazil, Argentina and the Global Tourism Economy Forum agreed in Buenos Aries this month to begin co-operating in developing travel and tourism, Xinhua says.
