An official in Brazil has said the government there is considering allowing some Chinese and Indians to enter the country without visas, having begun last month allowing in American, Australian, Canadian and Japanese tourists visa-free, the China News Service (CNS) reports.
The Chinese news agency quotes the head of the Brazilian tourism board, Gilson Machado Neto, as saying he and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro are working toward allowing into Brazil visa-free those Chinese and Indians that already have visas to enter Australia, Canada, European countries, Japan or the United States.
Some 149 million Chinese have travelled abroad, but only 50,000 have visited Brazil, so Brazil has room for more visitors from China, CNS quotes Mr Neto as saying.
