The Brazilian trade and investment promotion agency, Apex-Brasil, says representatives of 14 Brazilian companies will attend the All China Leather Exhibition, which begins in Shanghai on August 29.
Apex-Brasil says in a written statement that their attendance at the three-day event is being arranged by the Brazilian Leather campaign.
The statement quotes Brazilian Leather Manager Letícia Luft as saying the promotional effort in China will begin with a round of meetings with Chinese manufacturers of furniture.
It says the Brazilian stand will show samples of special leather made by various companies.
China is the biggest market for Brazilian leather. Almost one-third of all Brazilian exports of leather in the first 7 months of this year went to China, Apex-Brasil says.
