The 3rd International Conference Bridges: Europe-China will be held in Portugal next month, bringing together representatives of institutions of tertiary education in Portugal, Macao and Mainland China, Ponto Final reports.
The Macao newspaper says the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria will hold the event between November 9 and 11.
The gathering is jointly organised by the Portuguese institution, the Macao Polytechnic Institute and the Beijing Language and Culture University.
The report quotes a written statement issued by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria as saying the event is one of the scientific, academic and cultural activities put on by the three institutions related to instruction in Chinese for Portuguese students and instruction in Portuguese for Chinese students.
Taking part will be authorities on dealings between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries in the fields of language, translation, interpretation, culture and society, Ponto Final says.
