Cabo Verde decorates David Chow for contribution to economy

The Cabo Verde government has announced that it has awarded Macau businessman David Chow a medal for his contribution to the economic development of the country.

Mr Chow’s company is building a casino resort in the Cabo Verde capital, Praia.

The Cabo Verde Official Gazette says the decoration, approved by Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva, is for what it calls Mr Chow’s “extraordinary” role in the economic and social development of Cabo Verde.

The Portuguese news agency, Lusa, reports that Mr Chow’s company, Macau Legend Development Ltd, started construction of the casino resort last week.
