The Cabo Verde index of turnover in non-financial services was 5.4 percent higher in the fourth quarter of last year than a year earlier, A Semana reports.
The Cabo Verde newspaper says the index, compiled by the National Institute of Statistics, was 7 percent higher in the fourth quarter than in the third.
The report says notable contributors to the annual growth in the fourth quarter were the value of motor vehicle repair services, which was 5.2 percent greater than a year earlier, and the value of board and lodging services, which was 10.7 percent greater.
