Cabo Verde officials visit China to study cloud computing

Two Cabo Verde officials begin today a three-day visit to China to learn about cloud computing, Inforpress reports.

The Cabo Verde news agency says the visitors are Cabo Verde TradeInvest President Ana Lima Barber and Information Society Operational Nucleus Executive Director Aruna Handem.

The report says they are visiting at the invitation of Macao Bringbuys Web Technology.

Representatives of Macao Bringbuys and Cabo Verde TradeInvest signed in June an agreement that entails Macao Bringbuys setting up for Cabo Verde a cloud computing centre, an offshore data centre, training institutions and incubators.

The parties to the agreement envisage turning Cabo Verde into an advanced technology hub for West Africa, Inforpress says.
