Cabo Verde’s Minister of Infrastructure, Land Management and Housing visits Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao

The Minister of Infrastructure, Land Management and Housing of Cabo Verde, Ms Eunice Andrade da Silva Spencer Lopes, visited on June 8 the office of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao. Cabo Verde’s Representative at Forum Macao, Miguel Nuno Furtado, was also present at the meeting.

The Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat, Ms Xu Yingzhen, as well as Deputy Secretary-General Mr Ding Tian, and Deputy Secretary-General Mr Rodrigo Brum, welcomed the Cabo Verde delegation.

When greeting Ms Spencer Lopes, Ms Xugave a brief presentation on the activities carried out by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao since its establishment 15 years ago, namely in relation to trade and investment promotion, education and culture.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged opinions regarding cooperation on investment, infrastructure, tourism, healthcare, education, human resources training, and renewable energies. They also discussed the need to make better use of the multilateral mechanism provided by Forum Macao, strengthening the cooperation between China, Portuguese-speaking Countries and Macao.
