CHEC committed to Africa, including Angolan, Mozambican projects

China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd (CHEC) chairman Lin Yichong says his company is committed to maintaining its investment of money, technology and people in Africa, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese state-run news agency quotes Mr Lin as saying in an interview that CHEC is taking part in port expansion projects in Africa, so creating thousands of jobs on the continent.
The report says these projects include the expansion of Lobito Port in Angola and Beira Port in Mozambique.
The company is also taking part in projects to safeguard the environment.
“CHEC is currently in the development phase of the construction of a power plant to be powered by waste in Angola,” Xinhua quotes Mr Lin as saying.
