China buys one-quarter of Brazilian exports in H1

China was the biggest market for Brazilian exports in the first half of this year, accounting for one-quarter of the total value, the China News Service (CNS) reports.

The news agency, citing figures released by the Brazilian Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services, says Brazilian exports to China were worth US$26.95 billion in the first half, 36.3 percent more than a year earlier.

The report says soybean, iron ore and oil were the three main Brazilian exports to China.

China now buys about one-quarter of Brazilian exports, having bought only 6.7 percent in 2007, CNS says.
