China donates 100 computers to Mozambique’s parliament

China donated 100 computers worth 1 million yuan (US$148,000) to the parliament of Mozambique on Wednesday, the O País newspaper reports.

The donation of 50 desktops and 50 laptops was part of an agreement reached at a meeting in February between Verónica Macamo, speaking of the Mozambican Parliament, and Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress.

The ambassador to Mozambique, Su Jian, said the donation was the outcomes of friendship and cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

Ms Macamo said exchanges between the two countries had been fruitful.
