The Chinese Embassy in Praia has given 40 computers to the city of Tarrafal on the Cabo Verde island of Santiago, Inforpress reports.
The Cabo Verde news agency says Chinese Ambassador to Cabo Verde Du Xiaocong turned over the computers to Tarrafal Mayor José Nunes Soares at Tarrafal City Hall.
The report quotes Mr Nunes Soares as saying Mr Du’s second visit to Tarrafal reinforces Sino-Cabo Verde relations.
It quotes Mr Du as saying his country hopes to donate more materials in future so the city can improve its ability to educate and train its people.
The ambassador expressed hope that links between individual municipalities in China and Cabo Verde can be strengthened, Inforpress says.
