China sells Mozambique 147,000 tonnes of gasoil in January

China exported 147,000 tonnes of gasoil to Mozambique last month, making the Mozambican market one of the 10 biggest for Chinese gasoil, S&P Global Platts reports.

The collector of oil market information says China sold Mozambique no gasoil at all the month before or a year earlier.

The report says Mozambique bought 316,000 tonnes of Chinese gasoil last year, having bought just 7,000 tonnes the year before, and that it is on course to buy more than ever this year.

Official data indicate that China exported 1.84 million tonnes of gasoil last month, 43.1 percent more than a year earlier and the most for eight months.

The Chinese authorities have given out so far this year export quotas for the sale of 14.15 million tonnes of gasoline and gasoil, 2.98 percent more than in the corresponding period last year, S&P Global Platts says.
