The aggregate investment of Chinese enterprises in Brazil has reached more than US$10 billion, said Guilherme Belli, head of the trade promotion and investment section at the Brazilian Embassy in China.
He made the remarks last week on the sidelines of the China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services, held in Beijing, Chinese news agency China News Service reported.
Mr Belli encouraged Chinese companies further to invest in the services sector of Brazil, which offered “many investment opportunities”, according to the Brazilian representative. He added that services accounted for about 70 percent of Brazil’s gross domestic product and noted that the South American nation was the 8th largest consumer market in the world.
Mr Belli also highlighted the infrastructure sector as a potential area for the two countries to forge closer ties.
