China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group Co. Ltd and Portuguese and French companies have been discussing the formation of partnerships in Africa, the China Daily reports.
The Chinese state-run newspaper quotes China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group Deputy General Manager Shao Gang as saying the Belt and Road initiative of the Chinese government offers opportunities to “bring competitors together”.
Mr Shao spoke of Chinese and European civil engineers trying out new business models in Africa.
“We can pool our resources to help improve the infrastructural situation in Africa,” the China Daily quotes Mr Shao as saying.
