Chinese maker of wind turbines makes first sale in Brazil

Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co. Ltd, a Chinese manufacturer of wind turbines, has made its first sale in Brazil, Reuters reports.

The news agency quotes Xinjiang Goldwind General Manager for South America Xuan Liang as saying the first generating unit sold has arrived in Brazil.

He declined to give the price or the name of the buyer.

His company is considering making a bid when the Brazilian government auctions in April rights to build and operate renewable-energy power generation facilities, Reuters says.
