Chinese, Portuguese post offices in e-commerce initiative

Postal Services of Portugal and China Post Group Corp. have agreed to work together to deliver parcels of merchandise ordered online, Dinheiro Vivo reports.

The news website says the resulting service, called e-Packet, will simplify the delivery of goods ordered by Portuguese from Chinese e-commerce websites.

The report quotes Postal Services of Portugal Chief Executive Francisco Lacerda as saying the service makes the Portuguese post office a player in the e-commerce business, where revenue from goods originating in Asia is on course to double this year, Dinheiro Vivo says.
