Chinese school, Portuguese govt agree on tourism endeavour

The Guangzhou Vocational School of Tourism and Business in the southern China province of Guangdong and the Portuguese tourism authority, Turismo de Portugal, have agreed to set up a teaching facility in Portugal, Xin Kuai Bao reports.

The southern Chinese newspaper says the facility will give instruction in the Chinese art of serving tea and in Chinese cuisine.

The report says the purpose of the co-operative endeavour is to promote Chinese culture abroad.

The Guangzhou school has various co-operative endeavours with 22 institutions in 14 different parts of the world, Xin Kuai Bao says.
