Chinese to train Mozambican media workers

Members of the Chinese mass media will help train their counterparts in Mozambique, the China Daily reports.

The Chinese government-run newspaper says State Council Information Office Minister Jiang Jianguo told a party of members of the Mozambican media on a visit to Beijing that greater economic dealings between China and Mozambique had increased the need to share information about best practices in the news media.

In 2015 Chinese President Xi Jinping said China would help to train 1,000 members of the African news media each year for the following three years, the China Daily says.
