Chinese traditional medicine park trains 200 Mozambicans

The Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao helped train over 200 Mozambican health professionals in administering Chinese traditional medicine between 2016 and this year, The People’s Daily reports.

The Chinese Communist Party newspaper says the trainees were sent to the park by the Mozambican Ministry of Health, and came from 43 public health units in 11 provinces of Mozambique.

The report says outstanding trainees won scholarships for further study in Macau.

The park helped train 30 other health professionals from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique this year.

The training may increase the acceptance and practice of Chinese traditional medicine in Africa, The People’s Daily says.
