Delegation from Macao banks tours Europe to market yuan-clearing services

A delegation from the Macao Association of Banks has toured Portugal to promote the city’s yuan-clearing services and its role as a financial service platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries, the Macao Daily News reports.

The newspaper says the delegation was led by Ip Sio Kai, the association’s president and deputy general manager of Bank of China Macao Branch. Monetary Authority of Macao chairman Anselmo Teng Lin Seng was part of the 15-strong team.

The report said the tour took in Portugal and Spain, and saw the exchange of information.
