Chinese transport network company Didi Chuxing hopes to help decongest Brazilian city streets and serve passengers better now it has bought a Brazilian counterpart, 99, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese state-run news agency quotes Didi Chuxing Vice-president and Director for Latin America Gu Tao as saying: “We hope that technologies for smart transportation, such as smart traffic lights and reversible lanes, which have already been used very successfully in more than 20 Chinese cities, will help to resolve problems in big Brazilian cities like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.”
Mr Gu said Chinese companies in Brazil could help Brazilian companies develop.
The 99 network covers over 550 cities in Brazil, Xinhua says.
