Chinese transport network company Didi Chuxing is negotiating the purchase of the majority stake in a Brazilian counterpart, 99, The Information reports.
The technology news website quotes an unidentified source as saying the price has yet to be agreed.
The report says Didi already owns a minor stake and shares its know-how with 99, helping the Brazilian company to expand into 550 cities.
Didi Chuxing views Brazil as a test bed for the employment of its technology and the application of its experience in China to help start-ups abroad become more competitive, The Information says.
