Diplomat foresees Sino-Mozambican co-operation opportunities

Chinese Ambassador to Mozambique Su Jian believes the future holds what he calls unprecedented opportunities to develop Sino-Mozambican friendship and co-operation, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese government-run news agency quotes Mr Su as saying in an interview that frequent exchanges of visits by senior figures since China and Angola formed a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2016 have increased mutual trust.

Mr Su said China was one of the main trading partners of Mozambique, the main source of foreign investment there, and financed and built important infrastructure in the country.

The advanced industrial capacity of China and the abundant resources of Mozambique are complementary, Xinhua quotes the ambassador as saying.
