Angolan Ambassador to China João Salvador dos Santos Neto has said his country is eager for more Chinese investment, the China Daily reports.
The Chinese state-run newspaper quotes Mr Neto as saying in an interview: “Chinese enterprises are making great contributions to Angola in helping rebuild its infrastructure, ravaged by its previous civil turmoil. These include highways, hospitals, schools and others.”
Mr Neto said most Chinese investors in Angola were undertaking industrial projects that helped the country develop economically and socially by increasing employment.
He commended to Chinese potential investors the mild climate and fertile soil of Angola, which made it good for farming, and the wealth of fish and shellfish to be caught in Angolan waters.
The annual value of Sino-Angolan trade rose by 26.76 percent last year to US$28.05 billion, the China Daily says.
