Envoy says China to give Angolans more agricultural training

Chinese Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin has said his country will arrange more training sessions for Angolan farm managers and technicians this year.

The Chinese Embassy in Luanda issued a written statement quoting Mr Cui as saying so in a meeting with Angolan Minister of Agriculture Marcos Nhunga.

Mr Cui said Chinese companies played an active part in growing and processing agricultural products in Angola.

“China actively supports the economic diversification of Angola, and is willing to provide support for the development of the Angolan agricultural industry,” he said.

The government of Angola will consider incentives to attract more Chinese investment in Angolan agriculture, the Chinese Embassy quotes Mr Nhunga as saying.
