A Chinese diplomat has said studies of the feasibility of a Chinese-backed special economic zone on the island of São Vicente in Cabo Verde will be completed this year, Lusa reports.
The Portuguese news agency quotes Chinese Chargé d’Affaires in Cabo Verde Wang Feng as saying Chinese specialists sent to São Vicente had done their work, and that their Cabo Verde counterparts would visit China this month.
In a separate report, the Cabo Verde news agency, Inforpress, quotes Mr Wang as saying China is considering investing in agriculture Cabo Verde.
