Cabo Verdean Minister of Transport José Gonçalves has said a new ferry line which will link all the islands of Cabo Verde will begin operating on August 15, A Semana reports.
The Cabo Verdean newspaper quotes Mr Gonçalves as saying interconnection of the islands will help make Cabo Verde a single market.
Mr Gonçalves said the efforts of his government to connect the islands will bring new dynamism to the shipping industry and contribute to the development of the economy.
To improve its services, the new ferry line will replace within two years all the vessels it will be using at the outset, A Semana quotes Mr Gonçalves as saying.
