Luz Saúde, a Portuguese subsidiary of the Fosun group of China, has announced its purchase of another 70 percent of Criativo Health Care Investments II, which owns the largest private hospital in central Portugal and four clinics.
Luz Saúde told the Portuguese stock exchange that it now controls 80 percent of Capital Criativo Health Care Investments II.
Capital Criativo Health Care Investments II owns the Idealmed group, which owns the Idealmed UHC hospital and outpatient clinics in Coimbra, Figueira da Foz, Pombal and Cantanhede.
Luz Saúde did not say how much it paid for its newly acquired stock.
The competition regulator has yet to give permission for the purchase, Luz Saúde told the stock exchange.
