Guangda Group putting up two more factories in Angola

An Angolan executive of Guangda Group has said his company is building two factories in the Luanda suburb of Cacuaco, one to make car batteries and the other to make cardboard, Jornal de Angola reports.

The newspaper quotes Guangda business manager Katondo Jacinto as saying the factories will be in the Funda industrial park, where his company already makes furniture.

The report says Guangda Group entered Angola’s market in 2006 and began manufacturing in the African country in 2011.

The company’s Angolan operation has eight factories, which make plywood, utility poles, crimped and isothermal foil, and mattresses; two shops in Luanda, which sell furniture and other household goods; and 600 employees, 95 per cent of them Angolan, Jornal de Angola says.
