Guinea-Bissau acknowledges Chinese ambassador for work to end poverty

Residents in the Guinea-Bissau capital have recognised the work of China’s Ambassador Wang Hua in attempting to end poverty and to deliver development, the Macauhub website reports.

Macauhub says the event was organised by community radio station Rádio Voz de Quelélé that broadcasts in the Quelélé district of Bissau.

Radio station director Dauda Dabô said Chinese aid offered to the African nation included personnel training, equipment and the construction of infrastructure.

Mr Wang was quoted as saying the Mainland would stand by Guinea-Bissau and continue working to end poverty and provide development. Beijing has previously said it wants to boost bilateral co-operation in agriculture, education, medicine, infrastructure and training.
