Guinea-Bissau president expects deals to be struck in China

Guinea-Bissau President José Mário Vaz has said he expects that while he is in Beijing next week, representatives of his country and China will sign agreements on co-operation in agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure and tourism, Agence de Presse Africaine reports.

The news agency quotes the president as saying so as he left for China to attend the Sino-African summit meeting to be held in Beijing on September 3 and 4.

Mr Vaz expressed his conviction that China will agree to finance and take part in projects his government suggests, Agence de Presse Africaine says.
