H1 exports of Angolan oil to China grow by 22 pct in past 12 months

The volume of Angolan oil exports to China grew to 27,100 tonnes in the first half of this year, a 22 percent increase over the same time last year, Bloomberg reports.

The news agency, citing Chinese General Administration of Customs data, said only Russia supplied China with more oil in the first half.

The report says the current figures from the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries indicate that, on average, Angola produced 1.64 million barrels of crude oil a day last month.

Nigeria was the only African country to produce more oil last month.
