Hong Kong gets a taste for food from Portuguese-speaking Countries

Food from Portuguese-speaking Countries went on display in Hong Kong last week to improve that market’s awareness of high-quality exports, reports the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).

IPIM says 12 suppliers took part, exhibiting canned food, jam, vinegar, juices, olive oil, wines and snacks.

The Hong Kong event could unleash Macao’s potential as a service platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, and help the city evolve into a centre for food products from Portuguese-speaking Countries, IPIM says.

The Hong Kong event was the fifth expo arranged this year after successful shows in Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Guangzhou.
