The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) says it took part in the 53rd Maputo International Trade Fair, held from August 28 to September 3.
The institute issued a written statement saying the Macao pavilion at the fair had a floor area of 36 square metres to show off the environment for investment in Macao and the services the city offers.
IPIM Executive Director Irene Lau attended the fair, and while in Mozambique she paid calls on Mozambican government agencies, chambers of commerce and other business groups with a view to promoting economic exchanges and cooperation between Mozambique and Macao.
Representatives of the institute visiting Maputo for the fair called on the Chinese Embassy and exchanged opinions with diplomats there about how to help Mainland Chinese and Macao enterprises enter markets in the Portuguese-speaking Countries, IPIM says.
