A group of 26 executives of news media and journalists from around the Portuguese-speaking world took a course of instruction held in the northeastern Chinese province of Liaoning between August 5 and 11, the Liaoning Daily reports.
The newspaper says the visitors were from Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Mozambique, and São Tomé e Príncipe.
The report says they learned about Liaoning and its social, cultural, economic and ecological development.
The visitors and their Chinese counterparts discussed how to integrate conventional and new media, and the challenge that fifth-generation wireless telecommunications poses to news media, the report says.
The China International Development Cooperation Agency arranged the course with the help of China International Publishing Group, the Liaoning Daily says.
