The Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) Portuguese Language Teaching and Research Centre intends to publish online its materials for teaching Portuguese, the Macao Daily News reports.
The newspaper quotes the head of the centre, Zhang Yunfeng, as saying on the sidelines of an MPI conference on teaching Portuguese that posting the materials online would benefit more teachers and students than at present.
Mr Zhang said his centre had published over 20 books relevant to the subject since it was set up in 2012.
The MPI will produce in the future Portuguese-language teaching materials that are better suited to the needs of learners in Macao and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region, the Macao Daily News quotes Mr Zhang as saying.
