China-Portugal Investment Promotional Co. Ltd of Macao is giving Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe two sets of water filtration equipment each, free of charge, the Macao Daily News reports.
The newspaper says Simple Water Investment Co. Ltd developed and supplied the equipment.
The report quotes a representative of Simple Water Investment as saying the equipment can improve the quality of the water supply in the three Portuguese-speaking parts of Africa.
The representative said the donation would give the company experience of supplying markets abroad.
The equipment will be shipped this month and is expected to be installed by October, the Macao Daily News says.
