Macao, Portuguese-speaking Countries firms on trade tour of Mainland

Zhuhai, Jiangmen and Zhongshan were the destinations on a trade tour led by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) this week.

A statement from IPIM said the tour helped promote co-operation between the Mainland and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

Some 15 companies from Macao and the Portuguese-speaking Countries took part in business matching and sessions to introduce food products from the lusophone world.

The two-day event attracted more than 150 Mainland buyers and suppliers, and highlighted Macao’s role as a distribution centre for products from the Portuguese-speaking Countries, IPIM said.

IPIM is planning similar activities in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Hangzhou.
