Mainland China a big market for Brazilian shoemaking materials last year

China is the fifth main destination of Brazil’s exports of components for footwear and chemicals for leather, having imported such goods worth a total of nearly US$50 million in 2016, according to a statement by Brazil’s Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, known as Apex-Brasil.

The statement says the APLF Leather and Materials+ fair in Hong Kong from March 29 and 31 will be an opportunity for Brazilian producers of shoemaking materials to boost their business in the Mainland.

The fair has earned a reputation for showing high-quality, innovative products, the agency says. The agency has established industry partnerships to offer incentives to exporters of such products.
