A consortium led by the China Investment Corp. has acquired a 90-percent stake in Nova Transportadora do Sudeste SA, the natural gas pipeline unit of Brazil’s Petrobras SA.
The China Daily newspaper quotes a statement issued on Wednesday by the Mainland’s sovereign wealth fund, which said the deal involved Canada’s Brookfield Asset Management, Inc. and other investors.
The value of the transaction has not been made public, the newspaper reports.
