Mainland records significant increases in last month’s exports and imports

The value of Mainland Chinese exports increased 14.3 percent in year-on-year terms last month, while exports surged 18.6 percent, Xinhua reports.

The Government-run news agency cites data from the General Administration of Customs showing the volume of trade reached 2.22 trillion yuan (US$318.5 billion) last month, a 16.2-percent increase on the same time last year.

The Mainland’s trade surplus last month was 262.3 billion yuan and 164.3 billion yuan in March.
