Midea Group begins selling online to Brazilian consumers

Chinese maker of electrical appliances Midea Group has begun retailing online in Brazil, Reuters reports.

The news agency says the retailing website, called the Midea Store, offers 110 types of appliance for sale in Brazil.

The report says the website cost 3 million real (US$912,540) to set up.

Midea Group began doing business in Brazil in 2007 and the country is now its second-biggest market. The company has two factories in Brazil, Reuters says.
