Officials of the Chinese Agricultural Ministry and the Mozambican Ministry of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries have met in Maputo for talks about fisheries, the Chinese government says.
The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture issued a written statement saying the officials reviewed efforts to collaborate.
The ministry says the officials agreed on a way to communicate better, and to facilitate the conclusion of an agreement on how to co-operate in the fisheries business.
The Mozambican officials hope co-operation will help their country develop its aquaculture industry, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture says.
