Mozambican govt hoping for 360,575 new jobs in 2018

Mozambican Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Vitória Diogo has said the government expects the economy to create 360,575 jobs in the public and private sectors this year, having created 377,639 last year, Lusa reports.

The Portuguese news agency quotes Ms Diogo as saying 165,400 workers would receive occupational training this year and 4,305 would be given occupational internships.

“We would like to encourage businesspeople to keep on making openings and creating working conditions suitable for young Mozambicans to serve occupational internships and learn about the labour market so they can become more employable,” Lusa quotes the minister as saying.
