Mozambican police recover fuel stolen from Chinese ship

The security forces in the central Mozambican province of Zambézia have recovered 11,000 litres of fuel stolen from a ship belonging to Africa Great Wall Mining Development Co. Ltd of China, AIM reports.

The Mozambican state-owned news agency says the Chinese company uses the ship for exploration and transport.

The report says the thieves loaded the fuel onto smaller vessels and planned to sell it on the black market.

Three suspects have been arrested but others remain at large, AIM quotes Zambézia police spokesman Miguel Caetano as saying.
