Nam Kwong seeks out investment opportunities in Portugal

The Macao-based state-owned conglomerate Nam Kwong (Group) Co. Ltd. will explore investment opportunities in Portugal, according to the company’s chairman Xu Kaicheng.

Mr Xu led a delegation from Nam Kwong and the subsidiary Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A. to Portugal earlier this month, the Macao Daily News reports.

Nam Kwong was eager to enhance exchanges in areas such as electricity, tourism, trade, real estate, wine and food products, the newspaper quoted Mr Xu as saying.

Mr Xu discussed opportunities with Vítor Álvares Escária, the Advisor to Prime Minister of Portugal. Mr Escária was quoted saying he hopes Nam Kwong will invest, strengthening the commercial and business relations between the two countries.
