New centre meant to strengthen Sino-Mozambican cultural ties

The Mozambique Overseas Centre of the China International Cultural Communication Centre has opened, the People’s Daily reports.

The Chinese Communist Party newspaper says the new facility is meant to

enhance Sino-Mozambican exchanges and cooperation.

The report says the opening ceremony in Beijing coincided with the Mozambique Tourism and Cultural Promotion Conference.

It quotes China International Cultural Communication Centre Executive Chairman Long Yuxiang as saying the new facility will strengthen ties between Chinese and Mozambicans in fields including culture, education,  tourism and academic research.

The new facility may increase Sino-Mozambican cultural exchanges, the People’s Daily quotes Mozambican Minister of Culture and Tourism Silva Dunduro as saying.
